Buffalo Turbine Blower Saves Lives in Iraq

Recently, a Buffalo Turbine KB2 debris blower saved soldiers' lives in Iraq when its power not only uncovered, but actually set off a bomb. Because of this precaution, no one was hurt. The following day, U.S. technicians installed a new fuel tank and the Buffalo Turbine was back in service.

Normally used at golf courses, racetracks and parks, the blowers are now being installed on the lead trucks of U.S. convoys and have proven effective in blowing away garbage and other debris used to camaflauge bombs hidden by insurgents along roadways.
