Pitt Auto Electric Company was appointed as a central distributor for a major manufacturer of small engines in 1938. That began our evolution out of the automobile parts business and into our present day role of a specialty distributor serving the small engine, industrial engine and outdoor power equipment markets. We focus on providing retailers, original equipment manufacturers, and fleet accounts superior service on the highest quality products. We are committed to filling your orders accurately from our large inventory and shipping them the same day. We offer the outdoor power equipment dealer a reliable supply of Kohler replacement engines and parts. We also proudly offer the Shindaiwa line of hand-held outdoor power equipment. Shindaiwa has the superior quality, high power-to-weight ratio, and low vibration characteristics demanded by today’s commercial user and quality conscious homeowner. Better yet, Shindaiwa products are not sold through mass merchants! Our Country Clipper dealers can offer their customers high quality commercial mowing equipment with unique features such as flip-up decks and joystick controls. Finally, we offer excellent service and attractive pricing on many other product lines that you use everyday including Champion Spark Plugs, Noram clutches, Sendec tachometers/hour meters, and Gates belts.

We offer original equipment manufacturers a complete line of engines from four to three hundred horsepower. We distribute engines for Kohler, Ford, Isuzu, Wisconsin, Hatz and Lombardini. We have both air and liquid-cooled engines that can be run on gasoline, diesel, or gaseous fuels. We can provide silencers, air cleaners, clutches, hydraulic pump adapters, power-takeoffs, meters and other engine accessories. Pitt Auto builds over 4,000 complete power units per year to our exact customer specifications. We have an engine application engineer on staff and a separate sales force dedicated to serving the special needs of our OEM customers.
